Shearwater Tern Dive Computer
Designed with the sport diver in mind, Shearwater’s new Tern dive computer is a powerful, simple, reliable, and compact watch-type computer. You can pre-order your unit now for the January 2024 market release and be among the first to get it.
The Tern builds upon the success of the popular Shearwater Peregrine dive computer with an appearance similar to, yet lighter and thinner than, the Shearwater Teric.
What differs it from the Shearwater Tern TX isn't just the silver bezel and buttons colour (as opposed to black) but that it's not transmitter capable, nor does it have a digital compass. Neither of the Tern models have OC mixed gas technical and CCR modes as do the Shearwater Perdix 2, Teric and Petrel 3.
Both the Tern & Tern TX are depth rated to 120 metres and tested to engineering EN standards for dive computer compliance. They both support Air, Nitrox, 3 Gas Nitrox, Gauge, and Freedive modes and can log 500 hours of dives with a battery life of 20 hours with dive mode on.
