Octopus scientific name is - Octopus vulgaris. They are invertebrates which are found is all oceans, however, seen to be most abundant in tropical water. 


They are special invertebrates- them and a common vertebrate would seem to have nothung in common. Yet, due to an octopus cognitive complexity , they seem to have both short and long term memory alongside with the ability to recognize people and explore objects with all 8 long arms they have. 


These 8 long limbs contains abundant of neurons. Allowing these octopus to feel and taste independently without having signals come from the brain.
