Parrot fish have more than 90 species, making them the largest group of species richness in the indo-pacific region. They are tropical creatures that spend 90 percent of their time around reefs feeding off algae and keeping the reef healthy.

Not only do they have beak shaped mouth, they also have teeth within their throat to help them digest dead corals. This allows them to excrete sand which in many years compose together to make the many reef island.

Not only should we focus on keep the corals safe. We should promote the restoration of parrot fish
